Intelligrated, a leading North American-based automated material handling solutions provider, announces the successful acquisition of Knighted, a provider of supply chain software solutions. The acquisition is a strategic component of Intelligrated’s mission to deliver innovative solutions that increase fulfillment velocity for e-commerce, multichannel retail, 3PL, wholesale, consumer products and food and beverage industries.

Headquartered in Ossining, N.Y., Knighted provides web-enabled logistics software for today’s supply chain operations. Key customers include Barnes & Noble, Restoration Hardware, Vitamin Shoppe and Kenneth Cole Productions. The company’s products include warehouse management software (WMS), warehouse control software (WCS) and labor management software (LMS). The solutions are an ideal complement to Intelligrated’s portfolio of automated material handling systems, warehouse control systems and order fulfillment software.

“Today’s multichannel retail and consumer demands require fulfillment operations to deliver orders faster and more efficiently than ever before,” said Greg Cronin, executive vice president of Intelligrated. “ The acquisition of Knighted enhances Intelligrated’s ability to deliver modular solutions that are not only easy to implement and upgrade, but are also capable of making decisions at the speed of automation, increasing distribution and fulfillment capacity and lowering supply chain costs.”

Through real-time views into processes, equipment, inventory and labor information, Knighted’s suite of solutions, now available through Intelligrated, enable warehouse and distribution centers to streamline operations, improve productivity and maximize the value of labor, automation and supervisory control.

Knighted will continue to operate independently under the Intelligrated umbrella, reporting to Greg Cronin of Intelligrated. Over the coming months, Intelligrated and Knighted will integrate select administrative operations and combine software development resources.

The Knighted management team, including Daniel Napoli, Craig Wilensky and Ed Kennedy, will continue to play key executive leadership roles in Intelligrated’s software organization.
