Robinson (CHR) today heralded the progress it has made on that front, calling the utilization a key step in breaking “a long-standing barrier to automation.

LM Group News Editor Jeff Berman recently spoke with Mike Burkhart, VP of Mexico, for Minneapolis-based global logistics services provider and freight forwarder C.H. Robinson, about the ongoing nearshoring push into Mexico and what shippers need to know and be prepared for in order to establish cross-border supply chain and logistics operations south of the border.

Minneapolis, Minn.-based global third-party logistics (3PL) services provider and freight forwarder C.H. Robinson said today it has rolled out a new technology offering focused on touchless appointments, which it said “creates a major efficiency in freight shipping.”

Bozeman discussed his acclimation to C.H. Robinson, coming over from Amazon, where he served as Vice President of Amazon Transportation Services, and leadership roles at Caterpillar Inc., Harley-Davidson, and Ford Motor Company prior to that. Other topics covered in this wide-ranging interview included: the freight econonomy; various initiatives C.H. The company added that over the past year, 17,240 of its customers have leveraged the eBOL, with the expectation that the tally will increase in 2024.
